Titled Collecting Berries, this original stonecut and stencil print was created by Inuit graphic artist Qavavau Manumie in 2022. Manumie is best known for his precisely executed prints and drawings which depict stories from Inuit oral tradition, arctic wildlife and contemporary reflections on Inuit life in the arctic.

This print was created for the 2022 Cape Dorset Annual Print Collection, released by the renowned Kinngait Studios, located on the Isle of Dorset, in Nunavut, Canada.

Kinngait Studios is owned and operated by the West Baffin Eskimo Cooperative; a community run cultural organisation which has been supporting the development of its established and emerging artistic members since 1959; many of whom (like Manumie) hold national and international acclaim.

Qavavau Manumie is an Inuit graphic artist, best known for his precisely executed prints and drawings which depict stories from Inuit oral tradition, arctic wildlife and contemporary reflections on life in the arctic.

Qavavau is a master printmaker and has worked in the Lithography and Stone Cut Studio at the renowned Kinngait Studios in Nunavut, Canada for many years. He regularly assists artists to create prints and teaches printmaking techniques to young artists and studio visitors.
