Titled Helping Hands, this original lithograph print was created by Inuit graphic artist Papiara Tukiki in 2012. Tukiki's works express her keen fascination with the animals and plants she shared her arctic home with and how they managed to survive and form interdependent relationships with others in the far north.
Rare for Tukiki, this abstract composition, with its vibrant patterning and colors depicts a host of hands; though "helpful" it is unclear if they are the hands of humans or spirits or perhaps something in between?
