Ooloosie Saila is the granddaughter of celebrated Inuit sculptor and graphic artist Pauta Saila. Her most recent work focuses on northern arctic landscapes and she is known for her intricate detailing and line work. Her signature style includes creating eye-catching textures through the use of unusual patterns such as squiggles, stripes and dots to create expressive, painterly compositions. Her work often features bold colour patches that emphasise the colossal energies of arctic landscapes as they change through the seasons.

Ooloosie is becoming one the most promising emerging artists from the collective in recent years, having developed a strong, distinctive style that has seen her work included in multiple museum collections of note.
